YHSC is for high school students who want to make a difference in the health of their community.  Do you know that 40 million people in the U.S. do not have health insurance making it really hard for them to see a doctor when they are sick?  Do you know that even when a family has health insurance some children still can not find a dentist to help them take care of their teeth?  If you are interested in improving the health of your community and maybe someday becoming a health care professional the YHSC is for you.  You will learn lots of cool stuff that real doctors and nurses and other health professionals have to know like how to help somebody who is having a heart attack.  You will also work with people to teach them about taking care of their health.
